2014 Griffith University’s Gold Coast Science and Engineering Challenge

QAHS Year 10 Physics students took part in this year’s Gold Coast Science and Engineering Challenge hosted at our campus on the 24-25 July.  They all enjoyed the day, not only because they achieved a great result – third out of nine participating schools, but because they have taken to the challenge of building something new as a team. The projects included wiring a city, building an earthquake-proof building, designing an engineering product, designing a Mars mission vehicle and making a hovercraft that can negotiate obstacles. They all went home with a smile and of course, some souvenirs.  Well done students.
