Alumni Allies – The Road to Mocks and Finals
Our QAHS Alumni ‘pay it forward’ in a specially convened Q&A Forum with current Year 12 students.
With Year 12 students embarking on their final semester at the Academy, it is an important time for guidance from those who have travelled in their shoes. QAHS is honoured to have Alumni who are generous with their time and expertise, seeing the value of sharing their own Year 12 stories, tips and advice for the road ahead.
Questions were taken on notice and from the floor for a session dedicated to practical strategies for managing revision, mocks and finals. It was good to hear the way graduates took on board teacher advice for health and wellbeing, approaching longer exam blocks and goal setting.
Joining us during this special Opportunities Week 2018 event, were members of the QAHS Alumni:
Samantha Ash, class of 2017, Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at Western Sydney University.
Daniel Farquhar, class of 2017, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Business at the Queensland University of Technology.
Lincoln McNab, class of 2017, Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine, University of New South Wales.
Hannah Roger-Amies, class of 2016, Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Economics, University of Queensland.
