Australian Chamber Orchestra Strings Workshop
On 19 May, Anna Foran, Sayo Kokubun, Daniel Farquhar and I (Amy Zhou) attended the Australian Chamber Orchestra Strings Workshop at the Gold Coast Arts Centre. We were joined by students from all over the Gold Coast. During the 3-hour workshop, we played together as an orchestra, but also as separate sections. We really focused on balancing our sound by watching and listening to the other sections. At the end of the workshop, we ended with a concert, playing selected variations from Arensky’s Tchaikovsky Variations, and Telemann’s Don Quixote Suite. The Australian Chamber Orchestra musicians were all very talented, and I learned so much from them. Overall, it was a great experience!
