This year has been an exciting return to sport. A highly anticipates event in the QAHS Sport Calendar is the inter-house cross country event. Undertaken during Week 1 of Term 2, the entire school participated in a number of house points accumulating activities ranging from an art competition, competitive running and a war cry competition. Ignis kicked off the event with an early War Cry victory with Aqua winning the best dressed house competition.
Our Fitness Gym Coordinator Nelly De Vorms then took the lead with an intense dance warm up routine for the students and staff which gave each participant the enthusiasm to participate in the running aspect of the day which was to follow. Our students participated in one of three events; either the competitive male or female run or the fun run. The event was made even more challenging with the added task to beat Principal Rebgetz in the renowned Principal's Challenge. Several staff members also took it upon themselves to test their fitness against their students by running the race also.
Once complete, our students were able to relax in the Green Heart, play games, cheer on their peers or watch the progression of the Art Competition in which Terra were to be crowned victors by best encompassing the 2021 theme of flow.
The overall winning house for the day was Ignis, followed by Terra, Ventus and then Aqua. The day was a tremendous success and we would like to make particular mention of the following student champions:

Well done QA!
