Year 11 students, Tanya Nagrani, Celeste Nutley, Linda Lin and Janvi Makanjee have been selected in the 2022 NYSF Year 12 program. NYSF 2022 will be a 12-day hybrid (digital and in-person) program designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to encourage continued studies in these fields.
The program will run for 12 days from 10 to 25 January 2022. In week one (10-14 Jan.), students will join their fellow NYSFers for a digital program packed full of amazing STEM sessions, including specialist lectures, speed networking, talks and lectures from renowned STEM experts, careers days, critical thinking, science communication, and more.
In week two (17-21 Jan.), participants have the chance to meet each other in person, see inside amazing STEM facilities and labs in Brisbane, meet researchers and STEM experts, listen to lectures, and learn what a career in science looks like.
The final two days (24-25 Jan.) of the Program will see participants back online to share their experiences with their newfound STEM friends and wrap up the Program.
Tanya Nagrani has secured a full sponsorship from the Rotary Club of Broadwater Southport and Janvi Makanjee has secured a part-sponsorship from Rotary Club of Parkwood Inc. These students will attend a Rotary Club meeting to present and share their experiences and learnings from the NYSF 2022.
Congratulations to Tanya, Janvi, Celeste and Linda. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Broadwater Southport and Rotary Club of Parkwood Inc. for your continued support.
