
An impressive number of QAHS Year 12 students were recognised at the Bond University Year 12 Extension Program Awards ceremony held this week at Bond University. Mr Dion Obst, Business Management Teacher joined with me in honouring students at the Awards ceremony.
The Bond Business School Year 12 Extension Program is a two day workshop where students gain an insight into university life to assist the transition from high school to university. Bond academics facilitate the opportunity for students to experience an enrichment of their senior studies in Business and Mathematics through real world applications and the use of 21st century skills. Once students successfully complete the two day program, they can apply direct to study at Bond University and be eligible to receive three 50% scholarships and three 25% scholarships on offer.
QAHS Year 12 students had the highest representation of any school in the program, exemplifying their dedication to gaining knowledge and skills as knowledgeable inquirers. Fitting in this learning experience around the demands of their final year studies in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is commendable.
