On the weekend of 13 - 14 May we held our annual Brilliant Futures Investiagtive Year STEM Camp, an event which continues to provide fantastic learning and social opportunities for our Brilliant Futures cohorts, many of whom will continue those deep association well into their senior years at our school.

Thank you to key staff who helped with the delivery of the camp: Mrs Jo Parks, Mdm Sophie Boissery, Mr Aaron Boulton, Mr Tony Nicholson and Mrs Vanessa Rebgetz. Thank you also to our Year 11 STEM Mentors, Emma Eakin, Rohan Sen, Michaela D'Silva, Angela Kim, Joshua Thomas and Genevieve Chakuthip who helped mentor and advise the students in planning their research poster projects that will be presented at the Graduation ceremony in November.

We are also very lucky to have the support of Jacob's Well and Numinbah Valley Environmental Education centres, who continue to provide their staff and resources for our STEM Camp. Jacob's Well staff led by Iain Harrison provide infectiously passionate marine biology field research at Southport Yacht Club, who also kindly grant us access. NVEEC provide the inimitable Mark Drover, who runs the Solar Boat workshop onsite at QAHS.

Lastly we thank our Brilliant Futures parents for ensuring students were well prepared and were dropped off and picked up on time, especially the mums on Mother's Day.
