Our Year 7 Brilliant Futures students recently took part in our annual workshop with SPARQ-Ed at the Translational Research Institute in Brisbane. The TRI is one of the only PC2 level laboratories in the country that are available for use by school students, and we are always very fortunate to have SPARQ-Ed HoD, Charmaine Keal, instruct the students in a three hour workshop that explores microcscopy and microbiology.
Students often find themselves immersed in the process of discovering microscopic organisms, and look forward to coming back with us in Year 8. Special thanks to Mrs Keal, and Mrs Chetter for accompanying the first group.
