QAHS is a unique environment that attracts some of the most innovative minds and critical thinkers in Queensland. The environment at QAHS is developed so that 'like minds' are given the opportunities to grow their passions. From the National Youth Science Forum, Model United Nations, the Australian STEM Video Game Challenge and volunteering with Rosies Friends on the streets, our students endeavour to develop the characteristics of the International Baccalaureate Learner.
This year we are celebrating Gifted Awareness Week with the theme 'Like Minds'.
Each day we will celebrate a different aspect of QAHS that highlights the transformative opportunities available here. Please take a look at the schedule and feel free to join in, especially the culminating event - the PERMA+ Picnic in the Green Heart.

This week is endorsed by the Australian Association for the Education of the Gifted and Talented (AAEGT) to raise awareness of the identification, support and learning needs of gifted children and to celebrate the dedication of individuals and educational bodies who are making a positive difference in the lives of gifted children and their families.
