QAHS has been confirmed as part of the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct and is the only school located in Asia-Pacific's emerging Health and Innovation Hub. The precinct boasts a unique global business location for high-tech industry development, research, collaboration and jobs of the future. Supported by $5 billion in infrastructure, including Griffith University and the Gold Coast University Hospital, the precinct is also home to the COHORT innovation, a co-working space including the Griffith Innovation Centre and extensive parkland and green space.
Members of the QAHS Leadership team met with the precinct's Mr Craig Rowsell, Manager Investment Development and Ms Kathy Kruger, Marketing & Business Development recently to hear the unfolding plans for the precinct as it continues to attract world-class researchers and builds cutting-edge research and innovation for global impact. The precinct currently features more than 1000 researchers and 700 research students, along with internationally regarded clinicians and global companies operating in innovative partnerships with researchers and clinicians.
QAHS students are well positioned to be a part of the graduate pipeline of skilled and specialised workers for the jobs of the future offered in the precinct. We look forward to the opportunities for QAHS students that will emerge as the precinct grows in its collaborative partnerships over the forthcoming years.
