Year 12 student Aidan Luchs, selected as one of twenty students to attend the Australian Olympic Change-Maker National Summit

The Australian Olympic Change-Maker program recognises and rewards students who are demonstrating the Olympic spirit through leadership and driving positive change in their communities.

Year 12 student, Aidan Luchs, was selected for the Australian Olympic Change maker Award through application, highlighting his involvement in the QAHS Dance Troupe as part of his commitment to CAS. In order to be considered for the National Summit, students submitted a one-minute video which actively demonstrated how they:

•    Display leadership through sport in their school or local community, and / or

•    Use sport as a vehicle to improve health & wellbeing and drive social change in their school or local community. Nominations were assessed based upon the student's ability to demonstrate:  Leadership;  Social Impact; Innovation; and  Inclusion of the Program's 2020 theme: "Discover Tomorrow";

The inaugural Australian Olympic Change-Maker Virtual Summit will be held in December 2020, connecting students and schools around Australia together in one major event! Typically, the summit would be held in Canberra, but due to COVID-19 restrictions the summit will be held virtually this year.
