The Brilliant Futures STEM Camp is the most intensive event undertaken by Year 8 students who are part of the two-year Brilliant Futures program. This year the camp was held in perfect weather, over 8-9 May at the Numinbah Valley Environment Education Centre, with 41 students who came from a multitude of different primary schools across the Gold Coast.
The NVEEC provide deeply engaging educational sessions through Natural Bridge glow worm caves, water testing and investigation along the Nerang river, and other sustainability and mindfulness sessions in the centre's forest surrounds, that increase students' awareness of, and connection to their environment and eco system.

A special thank you to Mrs Parks for coordinating the event, Ms Boissery and Mrs Rebgetz for providing their support at the camp, as well as our Year 11 STEM mentors who attended: Anton Bagino, Linda Yang, Janvi Makanjee, Zhuominna, Celeste Nutley, and Anna Tian. Also deep thanks and appreciation to the NVEEC Principal, Kalindi Brennan and her team.
