Hello everyone! This week marks the launch of the new QA Sport Program. Thank you to students, staff and families for embracing the change in 2023, and we look forward to commencing our first sport day on Thursday 30 March, 2023. This will be for all Year 10 and 11 students. Year 12 students will be involved in our house competitions, cross country and first official athletics carnival.
Please join us in celebrating the success of our QAHS student athletes below.
Two QAHS students competed at the South Coast Regional Golf Trails @ Emerald Lakes
Year 11 student Riko Danjo and Year 10 student Justin Wei both competed at the South Coast Golf trials this week. In challenging conditions, both students performed very well with some impressive scores over 18 holes.
QAHS select team and development squad for the upcoming GC Schools Basketball Competition
We had an outstanding turnout for our official basketball trial in the QAHS Sports Hall in Week 3. Students were vying for selection in the QAHS team called the '45ers'. The selection panel was so impressed with the talent on display, which resulted in the selection of a team and development squad. All members are currently training together on Thursday afternoons, in the lead up to the competition starting in May. In exciting news, the team will be wearing a brand-new playing kit this year – here is a sneak peek below.

Squad Members: Enoch Adewuni, Addullah Al Itman, Hugo Chan, Ymmyl De Castro, Jake Dinsey-McDonald, Caleb Diskin, Lincoln Holman, Leon Li, Dominic Mackenzie, Daffaras Mahardhika, James Matthews, Connor Mitchell, Kento Oiwa, Daehan Park, Fergus Rebgetz, Finn Rollison, Chenitha Suraweera, Michael Teng, Jason Wang, Ryan Yang, Beau Zhang and Matthew Zhang.
