Congratulations 2016 graduate Rebecca Jiang – University of Pennsylvania
It was wonderful to hear from 2016 graduate Rebecca Jiang about her offer to the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. Rebecca was also offered the London School of Economics, but she has chosen Penn where the admission rate was a record low of 9.2%, accepting just 3,699 students from a pool of 40,413 applicants.
Rebecca reports: “Whilst both universities were excellent choices, I eventually committed to the University of Pennsylvania, where I will be studying at the College of Arts and Science as a prospective Economics of Philosophy, Politics and Economics student. I would like to take this chance to express my gratitude to the QAHS school community for the abundance of opportunities it has provided me over the three years to foster my personal and academic growth. Thank you to all the teachers, staff and students who helped me along the IB journey, this achievement would not have been possible without your endless support. Though I am nervous about the daunting 12,000 km move to Philadelphia, I am nevertheless excited to start a new chapter of my life as a freshman at Penn, and also as a proud past student of QAHS.”
