Gold Coast Careers Expo

On Thursday 7 May, Year 11 and 12 QAHS students attended the Gold Coast Careers Expo, held at the RACV Royal Pines Resort. Held annually in May, the Expo attracts students from a number of schools on the Gold Coast, enabling them to explore potential career pathways and options to study in Australia and overseas.

The Careers Expo provided students with a wealth of invaluable information concerning career opportunities and further study to be pursued. A number of tertiary institutions and vocational educational providers held stalls at the events, some of which included Griffith University, Bond University, Southern Cross University, Queensland University of Technology and TAFE.

Year 12 student, Ben Smith said, “I found the Careers Expo to be a very useful, engaging, and fun exhibition that helped me learn more about the different Universities and the courses that they offered. I really feel that I benefited from going and was able to get a better grasp on where I am heading for my future academic life.”

Year 10 Careers Day will be held on 27 May, providing students with another opportunity to attend university displays and ask questions about their future career pathways.
