Homeless Connect CAS group collection

On 3 March, the Homeless Connect CAS group hosted a free-dress day for QAHS. Instead of a gold coin donation, we requested non-perishable food, clothes or hygiene products. In doing so, we gave our school community the opportunity to help those in need across the Gold Coast, in preparation for the annual Homeless event at Metricon Stadium later this year.

The IB Learner Profile attributes of Caring and Principled were on display, with enthusiastic participation from all year levels. The amount of donations collected by the end of the day spoke for itself!

The winning house with most donations was also clear. The final collection showed Ignis with 114, Terra with 130, Ventus with 200 and by a strong lead, Aqua as the winner with 280 donations!

Thank you to the entire QAHS school community for your amazing generosity and acting to make a positive difference in the lives of others!
