IB Students’ preparedness for success in the 21st Century.

A study of critical thinking and learning outcomes associated with Theory of Knowledge, the IB Diploma Programme’s signature core element, identifies IB students’ preparedness for success in the 21st Century.

The University of Western Sydney study reveals Diploma Programme graduates:

  • demonstrated more confidence in their ability to use critical thinking skills than non-IB students, to a statistically significant degree.
  • outscored non-DP graduates in all three measures which appraised their post-secondary success.
  • scored significantly higher on average on the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) than their non-IB peers.
