MLTAQ French Speech Contest Results

On Sunday 19 August, two of our Year 11 French students, Annabel Jellett and Noor Saadi, took part in the annual Modern Language Teachers’ Association of Queensland Gold Coast Languages Speech Contest held at Griffith University.

This competition involves students preparing and delivering a speech about an aspect of French culture. Both students are to be commended for their dedication to this extra-curricular activity. Congratulations go to both girls for having received awards in the Year 11 Ab initio Section: Annabel who was awarded 1st Place and Noor who was awarded Highly Commended.

Bravo Annabel et Noor!

QAHS was also admirably represented on the day by Edith Chow, Isobella Kruger and Sophia Phipps who performed a beautiful rendition of the French song “Je vole”, recently made popular by the film “La famille Bélier”, to an audience of Contest participants and Griffith University students.

Un grand merci Edie, Bella et Sophia!
