On the evening of Wednesday 16 August a QAHS Senior B team will be competing at the Gold Coast Debating Grand Final at Bond University. Debates begin at 5pm.
Italia Malik, Isobella Kruger, Tayla Painter (Year 11) and Holly Williamson (Year 10), have had an unbeaten run in this year’s competition. On Wednesday 9 August the team won in the semi-finals against Marymount College by proving the negative case for “Globalization has gone too far”.
The team has done a fantastic job of representing the school while considering such important topics as:
- The Government should support the Arts
- Australia’s relationship with the US is still relevant
- It is worth hosting the Commonwealth Games
- We should experience life rather than document it
We are grateful for the coaching assistance of Myora Kruger, who has generously given her time to the team and clearly made a very valuable contribution to the skills that have helped them do so well.
Good Luck Ladies!
Ms Mary-Anne Wood
