QUT 2019 STEM Camp

We congratulate Sophie Hsu for her successful application for the Queensland University of Technology 2019 STEM Camp.

In recognition of her outstanding STEM leadership potential, Sophie has been invited to attend the camp in September at QUT’s Gardens Point campus.

The QUT STEM Camp generated significant interest with more than 388 applications received from students state-wide. The selection committee had a challenging job in selecting applicants from such a quality field.

We look forward to hearing Sophie’s reflections from the camp. She will participate in a range of activities including Wearable technology, Healthier hearts, Robotics and Engineering designs (pressure tests).

Short reflection from Sophie:

“I was interested in applying to the 2019 QUT STEM Camp as it presented an opportunity for me to spend my holidays with like-minded individuals from across Queensland. I was very excited to be selected to participate as it gives me an opportunity to expand my knowledge about the field of STEM whilst also engaging in a project which will help solve some of the major challenges we face as a society. I am looking forward to undergoing this experience and representing QAHS to the wider community.”
