QUT Future Leaders Program

Congratulations to Year 10 student Italia Malik, who has been accepted into the 2017/2018 QUT Future Leaders program. The QUT Future Leaders is a unique program offering an opportunity to engage with QUT through a series of enrichment events during years 11 and 12. Throughout the program, Italia will participate in a range of thought-provoking and challenging activities that will enhance her senior studies, put her in touch with like-minded students from other schools, and provide the confidence and inspiration to explore further opportunities available at university.

The QUT Future Leaders program will provide a broad selection of workshops and activities including:

  • enrichment in specific subjects, with a strong emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship
  • study skills to enhance learning and academic abilities in senior years
  • life skills such as networking, leadership, resilience, an awareness of social justice, and community engagement.

Italia joins previous QUT Future leaders, Emily Douglas (2015/2016) Kemi Omomo (2014/2015) and Amy Zhou (2015/2016) as our esteemed student representation in this program.

FL_Farwell_2016_Zhou__AmyEDITEDCongratulations also to Amy Zhou who recently participated in the QUT Future Leaders Farewell and Reflection Celebration hosted by Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Carol Dickenson AM. Amy was a member of the second intake of QUT Future Leaders and had the opportunity to participate in up to 11 official Future Leaders events and a number of additional exclusive invitations to QUT-wide activities. Amy was provided with a good mix of leadership and life skills, and made many lasting connections with her peers from other schools and within the QUT community.
