South Coast Soccer Trials
Stephanie Kallas, who recently qualified for the 15yrs AFL State Trials, has continued to demonstrate her all-round sporting ability by participating in the South Coast regional soccer trials, and qualifying for the 15yrs Soccer State Carnival. Although having just started at QAHS, Stephanie is already proving herself to be an IB Learner by maintaining focus on her academic endeavours while also balancing her sporting pursuits. Please see below for Stephanie’s reflection:
“I’ve been playing football for almost eight years now and it has always been such a big part of my life. One thing about football is that it’s a male-dominated sport. So when I arrived at the trials, I was amazed by all the amazing female footballers. Genuinely, the South Coast trials were one of the hardest trials I’ve been to. The day consisted of three games against the other districts and then one possibles vs. probables game. After a very long and tiring day, I was very pleased to hear that I had made the team. It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to play in Brisbane for the upcoming state carnival.”
The QAHS community congratulates Stephanie on her outstanding achievements, and wishes her the best for the upcoming State AFL and Soccer competitions.
