Students selected for University of Queensland’s Young Scholars Program
Designed to nurture and develop our future leaders, the University of Queensland’s Young Scholars Program presents students with an exciting opportunity for academic extension and enrichment and is centred around igniting young change-makers’ passions for leadership, academic achievement and community development in today’s global society.
Congratulations to Year 11 students Lois Livingstone, Clare McMath and Victoria Ng who have been selected to participate in the 2016-2017 University of Queensland’s Young Scholars Program.
The Program involves:
- A five-day (four night) Residential Camp at the St Lucia campus
- A Young Scholars Program Open Day Reunion (Early August 2017)
- Facebook Group Networking and Support
- Regular Newsletters
Students will gain valuable insights into university life and fields of study they may not have encountered as part of the school curriculum. They will hear from leading thinkers and engage in discussions and collaborative forums in group settings. A range of social, sporting and cultural activities will complement the academic program. While on campus, students are housed in one of University of Queensland’s residential colleges. The Program is administered and supervised by University staff and Student Mentors.
