Friday 15 August saw our Year 12 students reach a significant milestone in their language studies — the completion of their oral examinations — and they did so with a spirited celebration of culture, cuisine, and connection.
To mark the occasion, language students and staff gathered at a variety of venues across the Gold Coast, transforming a moment of academic achievement into an opportunity for shared cultural experience.
It was wonderful to see the Year 12 students engaging so enthusiastically with the language and culture outside of the classroom. From lively conversations to shared laughter over traditional dishes, the event served as a reminder of the power of language to bring people together — and the value of stepping beyond textbooks to truly connect with culture.
