Ella Jacobs - The Brisbane Saddlefitter CDI national and FEI ( International) competition results
We have received some fantastic news to share with the QAHS community, in relation to Year 12 student Ella Jacobs and her performance in Dressage. Ella performed at the 3 Star (National) event in Brisbane three weeks ago. Ella competed for the first time in FEI J which is an International dressage competition and is recorded under the FEI Australia results.

Ella was able to demonstrate balance with her studies and training; one of the key attributes of an IB learner. Even though she did not have a large amount of preparation time as it took place just after mock exams, Ella got some very pleasing results. Out of a large field of National riders here are her results:
FEI J Individual - 4th
FEI J Teams - 4th
FEI J Freestyle - 5th
Ella also choreographed her Freestyle test as well as preparing the music that she rode to. Overall she was placed 4th Nationally. Congratulations Ella on your outstanding achievements in Dressage. We wish Ella all the best with her final weeks in the IB journey at QAHS.

Lily Xu - 2022 U17 Badminton National Championships

Lighting up the court at the Badminton Nationals, was QAHS Year 10 student Lily Xu. Lily was selected into the state team to represent Queensland competing in the doubles events and individual events at the 2022 U17 Badminton National Championships in Ballarat, Victoira.

This was Lily's first appearance at the event and she thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The National event has returned after a two-year hiatus due to the  pandemic.

Lily and her family greatly appreciate the support of the QAHS community. She loves to play badminton on Friday afternoons at school for CAS, led by Mr Yang.

Congratulations Lily on your achievements in Badminton - outstanding!
