We thank our university partners – Bond University, Griffith University, James Cook University and the University of Queensland – for joining us on 25 March for the Pathways to Medicine Information event. Led by QAHS Guidance Officer Mr Paul Haydock, this event draws together Queensland's Graduate Medical Schools for a detailed session on everything Medicine. Held annually, the event enables students and parents to engage with the various pathways offered by universities Australia wide and a Q&A session with Medical faculty staff representatives from the four Queensland Universities that offer an undergraduate pathway to Medicine.

Following the Pathways to Medicine Information event, Mr Haydock joined the Principal Mrs Rebgetz for a professional learning conference at James Cook University, Bebegu Yumba campus, Townsville. With a number of QAHS students choosing each year to further their studies in Health and Medicine at JCU, the conference provided a hands-on insight to programs in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Psychology and Speech Pathology. The conference also provided an opportunity to meet on campus with the Faculty Executive Officer for the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Molecular Sciences.
