The QUT BlueShift Business Case competition final was held on Saturday at Gardens Point campus, Brisbane. After a rigorous selection process in the preliminary rounds, we were excited to have two teams representing QAHS in the final. Students were required to review Compare the Market's Fuel Comparison App 'Simples' and provide a detailed analysis and recommendations via a fifteen minute pitch to a panel of expert judges.
In the heats on Saturday, our QAHS students performed incredibly well. Team QAHS B, Rhea Garg, Alice Cai and Shu Yi Huang, put forward an engaging and thought-provoking pitch, with limited preparation time. The judges provided some invaluable feedback and learnings to share amongst our peers. Team QAHS B drew a tough heat, up against the eventual winning team from Brisbane State High School.
Team Meerkat Masters, Anton Bagino, Griffin Reid, Gurmanjot Jassal and Philo Guirguis, delivered a polished performance in the heats, which enabled them to progress to the Champions Round (top 3). We congratulate the team for finishing in second place against schools from around Australia. The team received a swag of prizes, including Adobe and VideoPro resources for our Academy.
Well done to our amazing QAHS BlueShift Finalists for 2022!
