QAHS Open A & Open B Teams qualify for the Gold Coast Debating GRAND FINAL at Bond University!
Congratulations to our Open A and B Debaters who have qualified for the Gold Coast Debating Grand Final. Save the date so you can come and watch our QAHS Grand Finalists vie to become the 2022 Debating Champions!
Wednesday 17 August at Bond University, go to the Basil Sellers Theatre on arrival:
5.00pm Open B Grand Final
6.30pm Open A Grand Final
The Open A Final will involve the following 2 QAHS teams debating against each other for the Debating Championship: Regina Hoare, Katya Gratchev, Kartik Nayak, Samuel Brown versus Jessica Ashe, Anenya Kale, Mathilda Bester and Nitika Bethi.
And our Year 11 Open B Grand Final qualifiers who are representing QAHS in Debating for the first time this year are Michael Teng, Benjamin Huang, Hongkai Zhang, Tamilla Akimova and Alexander Brown.
Two other QAHS Open A teams made it as far as the Semi-Finals but were defeated in very close debates by our qualifying Grand Finalists. So congratulations must also go to Devam Raval, Devansh Bhatt, Andrew McMath and Tadhg Stuckey, and also Flynn Edwards, Kiko Kagiyama, Ruby Jay and Elissa Kaluka for going so deep into the Debating Finals series.
Our three QAHS Grand Final Debating teams would greatly appreciate your support when they vie to become the 2022 Debating Champions - there will be plenty of room for QAHS spectators at Bond University!
