The Theory of Knowledge course forms part of the IB core, and is integral to the development of students' critical thinking skills and international-mindedness. The course is challenging and thought-provoking, providing students with an opportunity to explore and reflect on the nature of knowledge and the process of knowing via the question - How Do We Know?
This term, Year 12 students submitted their 1600 word essays, discussing diverse examples of concepts including certainty, facts, and provisional knowledge. The QAHS community would like to congratulate them on achieving this pinnacle of IB critical thinking.
In Term 4, QAHS will be running the inaugural Year 11 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition. This task asks the students to use 3 specific, tangible objects to display different perspectives of how knowledge works in the real world (beyond textbooks, classrooms and exams). Students submitted their drafts in Week 4, Term 3 and to celebrate this, the QAHS teachers held a mini-Exhibition in the Library.
We look forward to viewing the students' efforts in Term 4.
