Solving social, health and environmental problems though technological and innovative solutions, inspired four teams to ideate, write up their concept and enter the “2021 Mayor's Technology and Innovation Awards". Ten finalist teams were to be chosen from schools across the Gold Coast, to participate in the next phase of mentoring workshops. All four QAHS teams were grateful to be selected as finalists and attended a bootcamp at the Cohort Innovation Space, just across the bridge at Griffith University.

The Final Pitch and Award Night will take place in October at Bond University and will provide the teams with an opportunity to present their idea to a broader audience and convince the judging panel that their idea is the best!
