Wednesday 12 June, 60 of our students participated in the Fanfare 2024 – State School Festival of Bands and Orchestras. The Concert Band and Big Band, led by Mr Matthew Armstrong and Ms Sue Purton, were both awarded the top achievement level of Platinum, and our String Orchestra, led by Ms Fimka Hampson, were awarded an achievement level of Silver. We are very proud of our students for their commitment to one another and to their representation of our school. Thank you to our wonderful Instrumental Music teachers, and to parents and friends who came to watch the Fanfare event held in Ormeau.
The next public performance by our school ensembles will be at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod in August.
