We would like to express our sincere thanks to the following QAHS students who volunteered their time in the summer break as part of the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation's Christmas Gift Wrapping initiative at shopping centres across the Gold Coast:

  • Johanna Lee
  • Kaleo Lin
  • Anna Yan

Their dedication to giving back to the community and supporting the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation's festive efforts helped spread holiday cheer to many families. Their involvement is a wonderful example of the spirit of service at QAHS.

This week, members of QAHS staff had the opportunity to attend a special 'thank you' event hosted by the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation at the Gold Coast University Hospital. The event highlighted the Foundation's achievements for 2024, including assisting 150,000+ patients, families and health staff each year. Remarkably, 161 pieces of vital medical equipment was funded by the foundation, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to improving healthcare across the region. QAHS staff were able to connect with key figures in the local health sector, exploring potential collaborations and furthering our strong relationship with the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.

If you are interested in exploring volunteer opportunities for upcoming events, please visit Gold Coast Hospital Foundation's Volunteer Page and contact Mr. Obst for more details.

A big thank you once again to Johanna, Kaleo, and Anna for their outstanding contribution!
