Results for the Science Teachers Association of Queensland (STAQ) 72nd Queensland Science Contest, the highest level of science competition in Queensland are in. 2025 has been the most successful year for our students to date, winning a total of $2,045 in prize money. Our students were awarded 4 bursaries, 3 x 1st prizes, 3 x 2nd prizes, 4 x 3rd prizes plus a Highly Commended prize in the different categories of Senior Division.

STAQ has selected the projects of Arisa Furutani and Harima Ali to represent our SA4 region (Gold Coast) at the Australian Science Teachers Association iCubed Science Awards (the national competition) for further judging. Each year, the best three entries from each SA4 region within QLD are advanced through to the national competition. We are proud that two of these nominations are from our school.
