We are delighted to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Year 10 student Joseph Zhu, whose exceptional talent in mathematics was recognised at the Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) State Awards held last Thursday at The Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane.

Joseph received the Special Prize and Medal in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), a prestigious honour awarded to only a very small number of students nationwide. His outstanding performance places him amongst the highest-achieving mathematics students in Australia.
Alongside this achievement, Joseph has been invited and will attend the AMOC School of Excellence in Melbourne, taking place from 22nd– 30th November. This invitation is extended only to a select group of students who demonstrate exceptional potential in higher-level mathematics and problem-solving, marking an important step in national talent development pathways.
QAHS is immensely proud of Joseph's achievements and the dedication he brings to his studies. His recognition at this level is a testament not only to his ability, but also to the strong culture of academic excellence fostered within the QAHS Mathematics department.
Congratulations, Joseph, on this outstanding accomplishment.
