Harima Ali (class of 2025) has been named the Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA) iCubed Science Grand Award winner for INNOVATION for 2025/26.
Her Extended Essay project on Investigating the Addition of Marble Powder to Gelatinised Chitosan Beads on Tartazine Azo Dye Adsorption was supervised by Mrs Kahlia Baker and mentored by Dr Darren Grice of Griffith University.
Harima had also received a Gold CREST award, 1st Prize in Gold Coast Science Competition, and 1st Prize in Science Teachers Association of Queensland Contest for this project.
