Volleyball Queensland Schools Cup
Over the weekend of Friday 7 August to Sunday 9 August, QAHS competed in the Volleyball Queensland Schools Cup with two teams representing the Academy:
- Year 11 Girls Team
- Year 12 Boys Team
Both teams competed strongly across the three-day tournament, recording several impressive wins while also facing tough opposition throughout the event. The students demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship as they represented QAHS on the state stage.

At the completion of pool matches, both teams finished 5th in their respective pool groups, narrowly missing qualification for the finals series. Despite not progressing to the knockout rounds, the teams should be proud of their efforts and the way they represented the Academy throughout the competition.
A special thank you goes to our alumni coaches, Joaquin and Hayden, along with student volunteer Linda, for their invaluable support, guidance and commitment across the weekend. Their contribution played an important role in providing a positive and rewarding experience for all students involved.

Congratulations to all athletes who represented QAHS across these events. Your dedication, effort and school pride continue to make our Academy community proud.
