A week of innovation, collaboration and real-world learning has made Opportunities Week one to remember!

Our Year 11 students took on the challenge of the Australian Business Week (ABW) Enterprise Program, an immersive business simulation where they worked in teams to create and manage their own companies. Throughout the week, students strengthened their creativity, leadership, communication, problem-solving and time management skills while experiencing the fast-paced world of business. The program also forms part of the major project component of their CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) journey.

The week concluded with the prestigious ABW Awards Presentation Dinner celebrating the dedication, teamwork and achievements of our students. Congratulations to all award recipients, and a special congratulations to our 2026 Grand Champion Team – RePurpose (Team 14)! A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors, business mentors and staff whose support helped make this valuable learning experience possible.

Our Year 10 cohort spent Opportunities Week undertaking an acredited Certificate II in Sampling and Measurement and Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques with ABC Learning Registered Training Organisation, including a hands-on excursion and educational visit to Sea World.

Our Year 12 students made the most of their final school camp, embracing every opportunity to challenge themselves, build connections and create lasting memories together. From archery, wakeboarding and canoeing to beach activities, campfires and shared experiences in nature, the camp provided the perfect balance of adventure, reflection and fun.

A memorable way to conclude the semester, celebrating friendships and personal growth. The camp also provided an opportunity to strengthen supportive networks and connections, creating a positive foundation as students prepare to embrace their final semester of schooling together.

The International Baccalaureate places at its core, the balanced development of young people as guardians of our planet. Opportunities Week provides growth opportunities and vocational qualifications for our students to boost their development in the employability skills we are told that students will need into the 21st century.
