QAHS is extremely proud to have four student representatives in the Gold Coast Junior Council. Poppy Jones, Scarlet Kozlov, Ava Prince and Timothy Wissa recently attended the third meeting of the Junior Council for 2026. Students learned about the voting process for local elections, the city's plans for a sustainable solution to waste in the future, and community events that other Junior Council members are organising.
Timothy facilitated a workshop for his Council peers on diversity and inclusion and also informed students of the election process for the Council Executive in 2027. The day was a fantastic moment of leadership learning and action.
