Last night bands from Robina SHS, Miami SHS, Coombabah SHS, Queensland Academy for Health Sciences (QAHS) and Merrimac SHS took to the stage, showcasing an impressive range of musical talent.
Our school was proudly represented by Terra, the winners of our 2026 Inter-House Battle of the Bands. Terra delivered a confident and energetic performance, captivating the crowd and getting everyone dancing, singing and cheering along.
The event attracted a large and enthusiastic audience, including many of our current Grade 12 students, who came along to support the performers. With a fantastic variety of music, plenty of dancing and singing, and the opportunity for students to connect with young musicians from other schools, the evening was a wonderful celebration of music, creativity and community.
The competition was judged by talented multi-instrumentalist and The Voice Australia Season 15 contestant Benny D Williams, who famously received a four-chair turn during his time on the show.
Congratulations to Robina State High School's own band, Bag Racks, who were crowned the winners of the inaugural Inter-School Battle of the Bands!
A huge congratulations also goes to Terra for representing our school with such pride and delivering a memorable performance.
We look forward to seeing this exciting new tradition grow and continue in the years to come!
