Year 10 student Jonathan Sugar has taken his passion for psychology to the next level by completing the Foundation Psychology B course as part of the University of Southern Queensland's (UniSQ) HeadStart program.
The HeadStart initiative, aimed at high-achieving secondary students, offers free university-level courses to help them explore future career paths and gain valuable academic experience. The Foundation Psychology B course provided an in-depth introduction to core psychological concepts and research methods.
Delivered over a trimester, the program was completely free and designed to fit around school commitments.
'The course strengthened my understanding of psychology both inside and outside of the classroom, I highly recommend it.'
The experience showcases how motivated students can take proactive steps to enrich their learning and explore future academic interests while still in high school.
