Making Waves: Cooper Hudson Heads to Nationals for Pool Rescue

Year 10 student Cooper Hudson has made a splash with an impressive haul of medals at his recent Pool Rescue competition, earning himself a place at the prestigious 2025 Australian National Pool Rescue Championships, to be held this August in Adelaide.

Cooper's exceptional performance saw him claim six gold medals and one silver, demonstrating both versatility and strength across a range of demanding lifesaving events in the pool. His results included:

  • 200m Obstacle RaceSilver
  • 100m Manikin TowGold
  • Rescue MedleyGold
  • 200m Super LifesaverGold
  • 50m Manikin CarryGold
  • 100m Manikin CarryGold
  • Line Throw RelayGold

These results place Cooper among the top youth competitors in the country and reflect his dedication to surf lifesaving both in the pool and out in the ocean.

Over the holidays, Cooper also submitted a video application for the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program, showcasing his commitment to his sport, community service, and personal growth. You can view Cooper's inspiring application video here: Watch on YouTube.
