Queensland Academies Health Sciences (QAHS) was proud to receive two Highly Commended awards at the 2025 STEM Ambassadors' Conference, held on Wednesday 26 March at Griffith University. These awards acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our 2024 Griffith University STEM Ambassadors and their leadership in promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across the QAHS community.
QAHS was recognised in the categories of:
- Most Events + Programs
- Industry and Community Engagement

These acknowledgements reflect the diverse and meaningful initiatives led by QAHS ambassadors throughout 2024. From peer-led STEM workshops, to National Science Week events and building strong partnerships with industry professionals and university researchers.
The conference brought together STEM ambassadors from across South East Queensland for a day of inspiration, collaboration, and forward-thinking. Highlights included the STEM School Awards and thought-provoking presentation from Mr Salvador Cantellano, filmmaker and PhD educator.
Congratulations to our STEM Ambassadors and supporting staff for this fantastic achievement. These awards are a testament to the strength of student-led initiatives at QAHS and our ongoing commitment to providing real-world learning opportunities in science and innovation.
