QAHS was honoured to host the 36th annual Griffith University Gold Coast Schools Science Competition this week. The competition aims to raise the profile of STEM in our community and encourages students to demonstrate their STEM abilities by entering a project into one of five categories. The competition is open to all state, independent and catholic primary and secondary schools in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
The award presentation was held last night Thursday 5 September. QAHS was awarded 1st Prize in the Senior Category and was declared the Best Overall Senior School, an award we have received every year since QAHS became eligible to enter the Awards.
The individual achievement of the students awarded is in the table below:
Each student received a certificate, a gift voucher and a medal or a trophy.
Thank you to all our hard-working students, science teachers, lab staff, IT and Admin staff who have assisted us in maintaining our position as the best senior school on the Gold Coast.
