Francesca Crowther, Georgina Crowther, Zahra ForbuttJosie Hamilton, Allegra Nutley and Aimee Shang senior students at Queensland Academies for Health Sciences, have all been accepted into QUT's Future You Summit 2023.

This event is designed to expand students' skills beyond the classroom, to explore their future career ambitions with like-minded peers. This year's theme is 'Future Frontiers'.

We are particularly proud of their selection as they have been chosen due to their outstanding involvement in extra-curricular activities, contributions to their school and/or local community, academic achievement, and passion for their interested study areas.

This is a glowing endorsement of the well-rounded program at QAHS and of the International Baccalaureate programme, with its focus on developing the person as a whole, with QUT reporting that “your students will be a welcome inclusion in this program".

They will join a select group of Year 11 and 12 students from across Queensland and Northern New South Wales for a four-day on-campus program that will provide them with an engaging and inspirational experience in all of QUT's study fields.

The QAHS students will get a taste of university life, and work together with other senior high school students, as well as academics and QUT students. The will take part in interactive sessions that will unpack the importance of a success mindset, with the help of industry speakers, and look at future job opportunities and how to pave their own way to success.

The Future You Summit is held over the September holidays.

We wish Francesca, Georgina, Zahra, Josie, Allegra and Aimee every success in the program at  QUT for the Future You Summit and hope they will enjoy the experience and benefit from the opportunity to expand their skillset and immerse themselves in university life at QUT.

These experiences are a great way to develop new skills and also to try out a University before applying to study on that campus.
