Wednesday 17 May saw QAHS students Abdullah Al Itmam, Marion Khoo, Scarlett Kim, Orion Rafalovitch, Aadi Rai, Rohan Vasa, Hiro Yokawa and William Zhang participate in the Term 2 Interschool Secondary Chess Tournament at St. Stephen's College.

Student reflection: Scarlett Kim and Marion Khoo
"The tournament was a great opportunity for us to display our chess abilities, make new friends and engage in a friendly game of chess, regardless of our skill level. We took on the challenge of competing against students from other schools as risk-takers and gave it our all. Although we did not place in our category, our team has had a fun experience getting out of our comfort zone and trying something new! We would also like to give a shoutout to Ms. Stratton for all her help in taking us to and from the venue. She truly went above and beyond to support us and her efforts did not go unnoticed. We look forward to having more students join us for the upcoming interschool tournament next term!"
